Over the Easter holidays, I took it upon myself to do some intricate embroidery samples as I couldn't utilise the looms for weaving in Uni. These small samples were inspired by aerial shots of the rainforest which came from secondary sources on Google Maps. I did these samples with the intentions of using them as patches on garments, just like the RAF uniform would have badges and patches on theirs. However, these could also be used in other ways such as trimmings down either side of button holes, trims down legs, or motifs for the back of jackets. If I'd have had more time, I'd have liked to have made them bigger so that they were more striking, however I struggled with this as it was time consuming.

Unit X: Embroidery Samples
